Necessity for all KDSC programme participants to have a Personal Public Service (PPS) number for exam registration purposes.

Please note that all learners, including those resident in Ireland solely for the duration of their studies, who wish to be registered for examination purposes with the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC), must hold a PPS Number. This number becomes the single identifier for all learners registered with HETAC and replaces the old HETAC allocated identifier number.

All students who currently do not have a PPSN are obliged to apply for one from the following Department of Social Welfare office:

Oisin House, Pearse Street, Dublin 2 (side of Trinity College and near to terminus of 15a bus)

Non-EU nationals must provide proof of ID including the following:

  1. Current Valid Passport or Certificate of Registration with Department of Justice

  2. Letter from this College giving evidence of enrollment for studies and evidence of address in Ireland

I will be requesting that all students complete a HETAC Exam registration form by the end of March 2012 so please ensure you have a PPS number by then. I will be happy to provide anyone who needs one with a letter from the College confirming your enrollment and current address (see 2 above)
